There is something special about watching a simple log become a work of art right before your eyes. But for the YSB, the most meaningful part of the 2026 Jay County Chainsaw Carving Event was what happened beyond the carving itself—the generosity of the artists who chose to give back to the children and families of our community.
YSB was honored to serve as the 2026 event sponsor and to be part of a weekend that brought talented chainsaw artists, vendors, and community members together at the Jay County Fairgrounds.
We are especially grateful to Myles Nasby and the other participating carvers for donating a portion of the auction proceeds to YSB. Their willingness to share the proceeds from their hard work is a wonderful example of community spirit and generosity.
The Jay County Chainsaw Carving Event is a unique experience. Throughout the weekend, spectators have the opportunity to watch skilled artists take ordinary logs and, with incredible precision and creativity, transform them into something extraordinary.
The finished pieces then become part of an auction, giving attendees the opportunity to take home a truly unique piece of artwork.
For YSB, having a portion of those auction proceeds come back to support our work adds another meaningful dimension to the event. The artists’ talent becomes more than entertainment or beautiful artwork—it becomes an investment in local children, youth, and families.
Those dollars will help support YSB’s ongoing efforts to promote resiliency and help children, youth, and families achieve their greatest potential.
One of the things we value most about Jay County is the willingness of individuals and organizations to use their talents and resources to make our community stronger.
Myles and the other carvers demonstrated that spirit in a very tangible way this year. They brought their time, talent, creativity, and hard work to Jay County and then chose to share part of the proceeds with an organization serving local families.
That generosity means a great deal to everyone at YSB.
We also appreciate everyone who came out to enjoy the event, supported the auction, purchased artwork, visited the vendors, or helped make the weekend successful. Your participation helped create an event that was not only entertaining, but also meaningful for our community.
YSB is proud to have been the 2026 sponsor and is deeply appreciative of the opportunity to be part of this event.
Thank you to Myles Nasby and every carver who contributed to the auction and chose to give back to YSB. We are grateful for your talent, your generosity, and your investment in the children and families of our community.
We can’t wait to see what you carve next!
